The Plugfest provides an opportunity to test and demonstrate device and system interoperability and resolve compatibility issues. Implementers are invited and encouraged to cooperate with others to demonstrate system-wide clock synchronization and operation of protocols across as wide a spectrum of devices as possible.

Planning

Plugfest participants will want to attend one of the two planning teleconferences prior to the event, where they can ask questions and make suggestions. Registered participants will be notified of the teleconferences by the Plugfest committee.

Plugfest Test Stations

This year we will operate four test stations continuously throughout the Plugfest. 

 

The Plugfest stations will be:

 

Layer 2 P2P: including L2 P2P default profile, IEC 61850-9-3, IEEE C37.238, HSR and PRP, and IEEE 802.1AS

 

Broadcast Profiles: including L3, E2E Default profile, SMPTE ST-2059 and AES67

Telecom Profile: including G.8275.1 and G.8275.2

 

New Technologies: including High Accuracy profile (white rabbit), Enterprise profile, Authentication TLV

 

Participating organizations interested in more than one test station should bring sufficient equipment and staffing for parallel testing.

Shipping Materials

All packages should be address as follows to ensure it’s arrival to the conference hotel:

Requirements: 

Arrivals can be no more than 5 business days prior to the conference

Measurements cannot exceed 1,09 m x 1,92 m x 1,92 m for maximum of 1.200 kg 

 

Receiving/loading procedures

Any large sized equipment, exhibition items and setup staff are to use the staff entrance located at Coburg Bastei 7, 101 Vienna, and follow the displayed rules. 

All other documents (pro forma invoice, etc.) should be issued to your company’s name. It is your responsibility to arrange for transport and customs clearance for any goods shipped into the country for your meetings as the hotel is  unable to clear customs on your behalf. It is necessary that you check with your freight forwarder on exact procedures of getting your particular goods through customs. All large materials, displays or entertainers must use the loading dock facilities and should be advised accordingly.

 

Overweight delivery charge regulation:

In the case that shipments exceed the weight or size requirements, additional costs will be charged. Staff hours will be charged upon actual hours consumed at € 38,00 per person/per hour.
